Kawagoe ～ANDON Walk in Kimono～

Why not take a stroll around Kawagoe at night wearing a kimono and holding an ANDON (paper lantern)? Kawagoe, which developed as a castle town, is home to many traditional buildings, shrines, temples, and historical sites, including rows of storehouses.
In addition to these historical and cultural heritages, the atmospheric town of Kawagoe is bustling and attracts many tourists, as it is home to Toki no Kane Bell (selected as one of Japan's 100 Soundscapes to be Preserved) and Kashiya Yokocho (selected as one of Japan's 100 Fragrant Landscapes).
At this event, participants will take a stroll in kimono through streets that still retain the atmosphere of the Edo period, guided by the light of lanterns at dusk in the autumn evening. Enjoy the atmosphere of the town, which is different from daytime.
After your walk, you will receive a prayer at Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine. Afterwards, you will be given a lucky charm.

Participation Fee: 2,000yen
Date: September 28th (Sat)
Check-in Time: 15:30-17:30
After your Check-in, you can go by yourselves.
※The event will proceed rain or shine. Cancelled in case of stormy weather.
Participation condition: Please wear a kimono or yukata on the day. Children of elementary school age or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

17:00- Departure from KOETOCO for 15 min walk to the next point.
17:15- Photo shoot at Resona Koedo Terrace for 10min.
17:25- Browsing Kurazukuri Old Town for 20 min.
18:00- Prayer at Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine for 10 min.
18:15- Handover small present
18:30- ANDON Walk is dismissed.
