In 2025, the world’s largest rice paddy art will celebrate the release of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Castle Arc” with a stunning depiction of the main character, Tanjiro Kamado. Known for its record-breaking scale and incredible collaborations, Gyoda’s Tanbo Art is set to deliver a breathtaking tribute to the beloved anime film, which is set to hit the theater on July 18 in Japan. What is Tanbo Art? Tanbo art, or Rice field art, involves planting different colored rice to form large, complex designs best seen from an elevated viewpoint. What is Demon Slayer? Great news! Saitama Children’s Zoo now offers its Private Guided Zoo Tour in English, providing an opportunity to discover the animals up close. In this private guided zoo tour, a veteran zoo staff member will take you on a special cart tour, sharing their in-depth knowledge. ♦ Availability April – June 2025 ♦ Tour Details Approximately 2 hours; Time: 2:00 PM; Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays (excluding holidays and spring break); Group Size: 1-4 people (infants included) ♦ Price ¥10,000 per group (Admission and parking fees not included) ♦ What to Expect A fun and informative tour led by a zoo expert, with both standard and customized routes available and opportunities to get off the cart and walk in certain areas. ♦ Important Notes: At least one adult must accompany children of junior high age or younger. Omiya Bonsai Art Museum: Notice of Closure (November 5, 2024 to March 20, 2025)
The Omiya Bonsai Art Museum will be closed from November 5, 2024, to March 20, 2025 in order to conduct essential garden renovation.
We are hoping to see you again once we reopen!
■Period of Closure
Tue. November 5, 2024 to Thurs. March 20, 2025
■Reason for Closure
The bonsai displays and guest areas will be renovated in order to combat the increased frequency of extreme heat in recent years.
