Area Guide

Saitama City is the center of Saitama’s bustling political economy. The Saitama Shintoshin district, featuring the impressive Saitama Super Arena, presents a striking skyline of futuristic architecture. In contrast, the vast Minuma rice fields stretch alongside these modern towers, creating a unique harmony between city and agriculture. The area is home to the venerable Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine, whose 2-kilometer approach speaks to its 2,000-year heritage and continued significance to both the Imperial Family and the local residents. Omiya is also a “bonsai mecca,” and its celebrated Bonsai Village and Bonsai Museum draw enthusiasts from across the globe.
