Western Area Historical and Cultural Experiences
A cultural complex that combines a library, art gallery, and museum. Under the supervision of editorial engineer Seigo Matsuoka, naturalist Hiroshi Aramata, architect Kengo Kuma, and curator and arts researcher Shingo Jinno, it presents culture from multiple perspectives, from common culture to pop culture.

Kadokawa Musashino Museum is a cultural complex that combines a library, an art gallery, and a museum. The director and editorial engineer Seigo Matsuoka, naturalist Hiroshi Aramata, and architect Kengo Kuma have created an innovative museum that evokes the imagination while straddling the real and virtual worlds.

This library space houses light novels and other works from various publishers, as well as children’s books and comics, totaling more than 35,000 volumes. Visitors can experience the rich world of juvenile novels and entertainment that is the pride of Japan.

Surrounded by a huge bookshelf measuring approximately 8 meters, the library space houses approximately 20,000 books, including KADOKAWA publications, as well as the personal collections of Genyoshi Kadokawa, Kenkichi Yamamoto, Rizo Takeuchi, Shuzen Hokama and Futaro Yamada. Projection mapping using the bookshelves as a stage is also shown, providing a unique theater experience.
