This sake brewery is a guardian of traditional techniques that have been around since 1863. "Tradition is innovation" is their motto that gave birth to their sparkling sake, a product that has gathered attention and been praised, both domestically and abroad. Visit the brewery, interact with the brewers, and come into contact with the history and tradition of Japanese sake!

Menuma Shōdenzan is known to be one of Japan’s three Shōten and is said to bring success, health to the family, fortune, and scholarly achievements, and many other benefits such as matrimony. In 2012, the main shrine of Menuma Shōdenzan “Kangiin Shōtendou” was designated as a national treasure thanks to its highly skilled carvings, modern decorative architecture, and because it was built from donations by the public. Throughout the year, events such as the annual grand festival and Setsubun festivals take place during the spring and autumn.

Opened on November 11th, 1995 (the same month and day when Shibusawa Eiichi passed away). Inside the material room of the building, starting with Eiichi’s voice recording, there are lots of materials including ink and photos on display. In addition, on the north side of the memorial house, there is a bronze statue of Eiichi holding an analect, and overlooks the Akagi from afar.

Established at the end of Edo’s Kaei period (1850), Japanese sake, ume liqueur, sake lees are sold at the old-fashioned sake brewery and Taishō period’s store. A cozy experience that can only be enjoyed at a small brewery. In the case of touring the brewery, you will get a small sake cup as a present. The taste of various alcohols kept at different temperatures can be compared, with games for sake tasting on the menu. Please consult with us regarding the content of the experience along with the price range. Tours are not based on a particular season, however, the sake is prepared during the winter. It may be difficult to tour during the periods in which sake is prepared.

The "tanjun (simple)" hot spring, a variety of hot spring common among the top hot springs, can be enjoyed here in a typical Japanese rock style bath. Furthermore, you can enjoy Ganban’ yoku “Rakujyudō”, reclining chairs, and massage machines freely! Other than these, we are equipped with a high-concentration carbonated spring that even gathers attention from the medical industry! This is a luxurious facility to spend a fulfilling day.
