The aviation museum was built on the ruins of the Tokorozawa Airport, Japan’s first airport. There are displays such as replicas of early domestic aircraft, and you can learn about Japan’s aviation history.

The large park has an area of about 50 hectares. Within the park, there are sports facilities, an athletic field with artificial grass, tennis court, baseball field, along with other facilities such as the outdoor stage, tearoom, and a Japanese garden, making it a base for exchange between sports and culture for the western part of the prefecture. This establishment utilizes the nature of Saruyama Hill to provide an opportunity to interact with, and think of our relation to nature. You can find an exhibition room, observation balcony, seminar hall, outdoor grilling space, and much more here. At the hill, you can also find five themed spots. The waterbirds paradise, the bugs' forest, the hydrophyte village, the grove of trees, and the butterflies' forest.
