This fishing pond is very accessible, located approximately 9 kilometers (about 15 minutes) from the Higashi Matsuyama Interchange of the Kan-Etsu Expressway and roughly 5 kilometers (about 10 minutes) from the Ranzan-Ogawa Interchange. The pond is encircled by beautiful nature and has a surface area of roughly 11,600 square meters. On Saturday and Sunday, you can enjoy handmade udon made with local flour and buy locally grown vegetables at the farmer’s restaurant.
At the vast site that spreads 46 hectares towards Hiki Hills, popular animals such as the giraffes, red pandas, koalas, as well as the ecological park of Humboldt penguins known as the “Penguin Hills” can be enjoyed. Adjacent to the park, there is a path to take strolls and a path for those interesting in cross country. This is the only zoo in Japan in which Eco Houchoo’s Gundi, Hyrax, and the world’s smallest deer, Pudu, and the Quokka, which joined to commemorate the park’s 40th anniversary, can be seen. Winter’s seasonal tradition: “Capybara Hot Spring” is very popular as well.

Free rental bicycles are available at the Number 1 Bicycle Parking Lot, only a two-minute walk from the north exit of Yoshikawa Station on the JR Musashino Line. Feel free to use them to explore the city!
This riverside course is blessed with rich nature, with a view of the three mountains of Jōmō, and has a diverse course layout with an OUT course for skill and an IN course for power. There are seasonal events such as a competition named after Kiku Nishizaki, the first female seaplane pilot in Japan and a great figure of Kamisato, and a gift-giving program where you can get your hands on Kamisato's local vegetables and crops. The most famous 17th hole is a 595-yd par 6, a very long course.
Around 200 flowers bloom here during the peak season. Based on analytic results, this flower is an ancient form of the lotus flower. However, its age cannot be specified but is assumed to be a lotus from about 1,200 years ago. The best time to see them is around early July to late July, with the flowers blooming from around 5 in the morning. Since these flowers bloom in the middle of a residential area, please keep quiet when viewing them.
As spring approaches, bunches of Asian fawn lily spread in the mountains and forests of the Tsuburata district. There are many hikers visiting during the season in which the flower blooms. Best viewed: Late March to Early April
What used to be a forested mountain has been reborn through 10 years of hard work as a flower garden dedicated to Mitsuba tsutsuji, or Rhododendron dilatatum. At the beginning of April, about 2500 flowers bloom creating a stunning world of floral beauty!
Mizukokaizuka Park is a park with a site area of roughly 40,000 square meters. It is maintained to preserve a midden (shell mound) which is designated as both, a historically significant place and a midden that represents the first half of the Jomon period (approximately 5500 to 6500 years ago). The site area illustrates the size of the village and the 5 pit-houses have been restored. With a path (spanning 582 meters) going around it, the forest from the Jomon era is restored on the outside. At the exhibition hall on Mizukokaizuka, dwelling sites from the time of excavation are replicated and reproduced in order to articulate the midden of the time along with how individuals lived at the time. In addition, there is an archive adjoining the park where archaeological and historical resources unearthed from the city’s ruins are exhibited, with stone tools from the Paleolithic era roughly 30,000 years ago, Jomon pottery (also known as “Musasabi-gata-doki” ) unearthed from the ruins of Hazawa that is designated as a cultural property by the prefecture, along with an iron sword and a glass bead from the beginning of the Kofun period, with numerous data utilized to explain the primitive and ancient times of Fujimi City.
Hanazono Forest is two minutes away from the Hanazono Interchange via car and is a sweets theme park with the theme being a quiet European mansion. Here you can buy sweet gifts, such as Baumkuchen, perfect to snack on or give as souvenirs. Cakes and gelatos chosen by patissiers, freshly baked bread, and outlet products are sold as well. A shop with handmade soba that uses 100% local buckwheat flour. It is a store that uses Saitama Prefecture’s specially cultivated crops with the agricultural products harvested with more than a 50% reduction in the number of chemical pesticides and chemical fertilizer customarily used and has been certified by the prefecture. At Izumi-tei they use local, fresh, safe, and healthy ingredients bought directly from the source. In addition, if you make a reservation beforehand, you can experience making your own soba.
This is a long-established rice cracker shop known for its large signboard. The cute "namazu sembei (rice cracker)" in the shape of a catfish symbolize Yoshikawa, the home of the catfish, and is a popular souvenir. Another favorite, with many repeat customers, is the Yoshikawa Chips, made with 100% Yoshikawa-grown rice flour and deep-fried in a secret recipe of soy sauce and vegetable oil. Both products have been certified as premium brands by Yoshikawa City.
The park, developed along the Arakawa riverbed's regulating pond "Saiko," retains a rich natural environment that lets you feel the changing seasons despite its location near the city center. You can enjoy BBQ in the spacious plaza where you can choose between free sites where you bring everything yourself or reservations sites where everything is arranged for you. Furthermore there are tennis courts, dog friendly spaces, fishing spots and the lakeside area is a popular spot for cycling and windsurfing. With easy access by car, the park attracts more than one million visitors a year!
Ina town has a rich history, still visible in the seemingly ordinary townscape of today, telling the tales of many hundred years ago. For example, you can find the ruins of the encampment used by the prominent leader Tadatsugu Ina, who served under the Tokugawa shogunate during the Edo period. Tadatsugu improved irrigation channels and developed rice fields, laying the foundation for the legendary Tokugawa rule that lasted 260 years. To this day, earthworks, moats, and streets remind us of the past through their names that relate to ruins of old gates, encampments, storehouses, and other historical structures. Excavations are still under process, and new finds, such as unique earth constructions made to hinder enemy troops, are being discovered, further revealing the exciting history of Ina town.
Miyoonzawa springs up in a wooded area on a steep slope along the Kurome river in the southern part of the city. It is a clear stream that has been selected by the Ministry of Environment as some of the most famous water in Japan. Miyoonzawa covers a stretch of about 100 m before it connects to and becomes part of the Kurome river. In this limited environment, you can find many rare creatures and plants that only can live in the cleanest of waters.
Roadside Station Showa is surrounded by a rural landscape of fertile farmland, small forest grooves, and pastoral rice fields. This blessed natural environment allows you to feel the changing of the seasons. In the product hall, you can find a variety of souvenirs from all over the country as well as products unique to the Kasukabe area. This is a very popular spot for tourists where you even can buy fresh local vegetables. Or why not sit down and enjoy a hot meal at the restaurant "Shokusai-kan?"

In the garden, roses are in full bloom, and inside the facility, there is a restaurant where you can eat and a center specializing in local produce, allowing you to buy and bring home fresh vegetables. This is a great place to enjoy an atmospheric and relaxing time.
There are a lot of things to see, including exhibits that tell the history of Konosu station town. There are also hina dolls and akamono plants, a warehouse built in the Meiji period (designated as an important building of Saitama Prefecture's landscape), and a stage decorated with mosaic art. The museum also provides information on sightseeing and sells local specialties. Make sure to stop by and have an enjoyable time!

This store was originally the main building of a meisen silk wholesaler that prospered in the Taisho era. It has now been restored as a tourist center that also displays and sells local products. You can also try out the local cuisine at the soba noodle shop!

The ruins of a kiln used in the 7th century which is said to be one of the oldest artifacts of Saitama Prefecture. It is designated as one of Saitama Prefecture’s historic spots. It is thought that the kiln was made for the establishment of the Musashi Kokubunji Temple, however, due to the careful inspection of an unearthed tile, it was made clear that the kiln was crafted for Saguro Temple.
